Welcome!

I am a postdoctoral researcher in Comparative Politics at the University of Hamburg. I did my PhD in Political Science at Gothenburg University, with a research stay at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Before starting my current position, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Leuphana University of Lüneburg. I hold an M.Sc. from Lund University and a B.A. from Maastricht University.

My research lies at the intersection of research on gender and politics, political behavior and comparative politics. My PhD dissertation explores antifeminism and radical right support.

Currently, I am working on a three-year research project funded by the Swedish Research Council on whether and why young men may feel threatened by women’s empowerment. Additionally, I have a Cambridge Elements book on the role of gender and sexuality in political authoritarianism.

My research is published and forthcoming in the European Journal of Political Research, Politics & Gender, West European Politics, the European Journal of Politics and Gender, Social Politics and Frontiers in Political Science (see here). It has also been featured in international media outlets, podcasts and academic blog posts (see here).
